The Scout Network Section Page
The Scout Network
The Scout Network is the section for men and women aged 18-25, it comes after the Explorer Scout section but an Network member does not need to have been an Explorer Scout or member of a Scout Troop. The Network section was brought in in 2001 along with the Explorer Scouts which is for 14-18 year-olds.
Members of the Scout Network continue to work through the Chief Scout's Diamond and Platinum Award and up to the Queen's Scout Award, if not complete already, as well as the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards, and the Explorer Belt. The activities of a Network member tend to involve continuing with the preferred activity, whether it be kayaking, climbing, cycling, or a variety of such activities. The section also encourages providing support to the lower sections by becoming a warranted leader, a helper, or even an instructor in the activity of preference.
